1. Freeze a Lost or Stolen Card
Web Portal (desktop or mobile browser)
- Sign in at MyBalanceNow.
- Click My Card ▸ Freeze Card.
- Confirm → the card is blocked instantly.
Target App
- Open Wallet ▸ My Cards.
- Select the Gift Card → tap Freeze.
- Card shows a lock icon; balance can’t be spent.
Good to know: Frozen cards still appear in your balance history and can be unfrozen by you anytime.
2. Get a Free Replacement

- Card is frozen & you can’t find it
- Plastic expired (5-year “Valid Thru” date)
- Magnetic stripe damaged
How to request
- Call GiftCard team 1-800-544-2943.
- Provide original card number or purchase receipt.
- Choose: pick-up in store (5 min) or mail (3–7 days).

- Wallet ▸ My Cards ▸ Reload
- Enter $5 – $500 → choose Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit, or RedCard. RedCard reloads earn 5 % off.

- Bring card to any Target Guest Services desk.
